Acumen Ascent is a two day in person program for lawyers, law firm leaders and future leaders, organised by Acumen Leadership. Join us on 3 & 4 February 2023 at the beautiful Loyal Hope, Fortitude Valley.
Acumen Ascent was created to bring together legal professionals to learn about all things leadership in law. In our 2nd year running we are excited to bring our program to law firm leaders and future leaders and those ready to take the next step, whatever that is for you.
You will learn:
- Leadership foundations and how all the moving parts of leadership work together;
- The part ethics plays in leading yourself and your team.
- How understanding all different types of intelligence – standard, emotional and all of the others – can help to understand how you and your team work;
- A deep dive into empathy and finding your own authentic leadership style;
- How different personality types impact your team, how you learn, how you work and how that ultimately motivates (or not);
- The big part organisational culture plays in how you get things done;
- Practical skills for working towards or working in your leadership role;
- And lots more along the way.

This law gig can be hard. The weight of expectations of others our client’s, our team, our bosses and ourselves is huge. The perfectionism can be crippling, the hours can be tough, it can be exhausting keeping it all together.
In this program for lawyers, law firm leaders and future leaders, designed and created by legal professionals, our hope is through the Acumen Ascent training is that you will gain a different perspective on life, law and leadership. You will think a little differently, learn howe you engage with others and them with you, understand what drives people and manage those who see the world differently.
